1. WHAT IS THAT YOU BRING TO THE GUITAR?

ANSWER-hopefully i bring a certain freshness and originality to the guitar as an instrument though i beleive it is an ongoing process and ever evolving.i would like to beleive that i bring a tone that is unique and has apersonality and reflects my inner being.

2. WHY DID YOU CHOOSE GUITAR AS YOUR INSTRUMNT?

ANSWER-i chose guitar because it seemed like a very tactile and visceral way of communicating,and it certainly was very ROCK N ROLL.

3. YOU HAVE RELEASED YOUR ALBUM ONE WORLD WHAT IS
YOUR EFFORT TO GIVE IT A INTERNATIONAL COVERAGE?

ANSWER-we have got innumerable instances of feedback from people around the world and infact both ONE WORLD and MAHUT BONDHU have been re released by WASHINGTON based independant record label JOE ANTHONY PRODUCTIONS.We are in the process of negotiating a full length album deal with an American label right now and should have the cd out by middle of 2005.

4. ARE YOU COMING UP WITH YOUR SOLO ALBUM?

ANSWER-i have been asked this question a number of times and have been thinking about doing it,maybe sometime this year i will begin work on a solo guitar instrumental cd which can be a tribute to all the great guitar players who have inspired me over the years.i would like this cd to be an exclusive KROSSWINDZ fans only album and available only to the KROSSWINDZ fan club members from our site. plan to release it as a web only cd like what ERIC JOHNSON did with his previous album titled SOUVENIR.

5. WHO WERE YOUR INFLUENCES IN MUSIC?

ANSWER-too many to list but mainly guitar players like HENDRIX,SRV,BLACKMORE,STEVE MORSE,LUKHATHER,LARRY CARLTON,HOLDSWORTH,.........THE BEATLES,FLOYD,MILES DAVIS,DAVE BRUBECK,KEITH JARRET,PAT METHENY,AL DI MEOLA,............WORLD MUSIC,YOSSOU N DOUR,NUSRAT FATEH ALI KHAN,SULTAN KHAN,NITIN SAWHNEY,BRIAN ENO,.....INDIAN CLASSICAL........BUT MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE MUSICIAN/GUITAR PLAYER/PERSONALITY is the great ERIC JOHNSON.

6. ARE YOU GOING TO GIVE A DIFFERENT SOUND TO YOUR MUSIC?

ANSWER-I beleive we(KROSSWINDZ) have a sound that is unique,it is a combination of many styles and the foundation is rock,therfore we call our idiom/genre of music WORLD ROCK.

7. THERE IS A LOT OF GIMMICRY THESE DAYS IN MUSIC....LIKE TO KNOW
YOUR VIEWS ON THAT

ANSWER-i beleive that in a live performance the role of musician is two fold,he is not only providing aural entertainment but also visual entertainment,therfore sometimes a gimmic adds to the value of a live performance but it could backfire also if not done properly.Hendrix,steve vai,pink floyd etc and so many bands of legendary status have used gimics effectively therfore it can enhance the quality of alive gig but in a studio situation it is pure music and there is no hiding behind gimics.
