SAE is the worlds largest media education college with 49 colleges all over the world and now in Mumbai. The SAE Audio Engg course is designed to give its student a practical working knowledge in the areas of Recording, Mixing, Post production and mastering. The course is so designed to give a balanced structure s that the student will have a indepth knowledge of the subject theoritically with much emphasis on practical training.below:

DIPLOMA IN AUDIO ENGINEERING. The program aims to give a sound theoretical and practical understanding of working with commercial music and audio for any application. It focuses on the technical and creative sides of recording process, how to complete complex recording projects, etc, to equip the students to function on a professional level in commercial recording and broadcasting studios. The Campus has the state of art facilities matching the Industry standard.

DURATION: The course is a 700-hrs program, which runs for 9 months, scheduled as 3 hrs a day, 6 days a week.

COURSE OUTLINE: ? The recording chain and the fundamentals of sound ? Music theory ? Basic Electronics ? Decibels Audio Line and patchbays, Maintenance and soldering ? Analog Audio consoles and mixing ? Effects and signal processors ? Microphones and recording techniques ? Live sound reinforcement ? Digital Audio Workstation and sampling ? Mastering for Audio and Multimedia ? Synchronization and time code ? Digital audio console and mixing ? Audio for Video post production ? Sound for TV and film ? Broadcasting Concepts ? Acoustics. Final Thesis with project - 16 track recording and mixing assignment AT SAE, Mumbai Campus. The campus boasts of A Neve Libra terminal with Protools and Post production Mixing set up for Multitrack Films. This studio shall intern students for a period of 12 hrs and the interning shall be handled by Engineers of repute as Bishajit Chaterjee,Eric Nathan Pillai from University of West Minister etc,. Studios with Digidesign console and Pro tools shall be used for a 12 hour period to intern for sound recording and mixing for video albums etc,,. Guest lectures shall be held at the Campus by Mr Shantanu Mukherjee, Mr Chirag, Mr Chiranthan, Mr Promod and Mr Krishna Sawant who have worked on films as Chamlei, Booth and numerous video albums. The internship (internal) for students at Mumbai shall be as described above. INTERNSHIP (External- industry) This shall be a 15-30 day internship based on the students interest and studios who have tied up with SAE.
